#WorldWizkidDay started shortly after the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner interview session with a radio station in United States of America. The hosts of the show were overwhelmed by Wizkid’s presence as they make attempt to have quick pictures with him even while the show was on air.
The trend was created for fans to share some of Wizkid’s greatest achievements and successes also for them to share some of the singer’s most heroic moment on stage as a performer and entertainer.

FIRST AFRICAN ARTISTE ON GUINNESS BOOK
As a result of his contribution to Drake’s hit song titled ‘One Dance’ WIZKID became the first African pop star to be featured in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is worthy of note that ‘One Dance’ is owned by Drake but Wizkid is credited for his song writing prowess which immensely contributed to the smash hit ‘One Dance’. The song got into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the most played song on Spotify with more than a billion streams.

Star boy is the youngest of all African Artiste to ever get nominated for Grammy awards. This was was made happen because of his contributions to Drake album in 2016 titled ‘Views’.

In 2017, Wizkid bested the likes of Jay z, Drake, Beyonce, Travis Scot and others to win the MOBO award. He became the first African artiste to ever achieve such feat in music.
